7. The mediation process
Answer
(1) Preparing the case
The mediator shall go through the documents, examine the
evidences available or make inquiries to the parties to understand
the obstacles and needs of each party.
(2) Convening meeting
The mediator shall convene meetings, introduce him/herself,
create a negotiation atmosphere that the parties can feel
comfortable with, inform the parties of his/her roles as a mediator
and explain the process, procedures and etiquettes that
the parties need to adhere to during the negotiation.
