12. What needs to be prepared to start
a mediation?

Answer

1) Collect information or facts relating to the conflicts as well
as the proposals to be submitted for the other party’s consideration.
2) Participant in mediation should have the authority to

make a decision.
3) Attend the mediation on the appointed day and time.

4) Being co-operative with the mediator in order to reach
the agreement acceptable to all concerned.
5) Being polite and showing decent manner during mediation.

13. Is a lawyer needed during mediation?

Answer
There is no need to have a lawyer present as the authority to

make a decision rests with the parties.
