In the case that a buyer of an auctioned property failed to pay the
purchase price within the prescribed time period which results in a forfeit
of deposit and a new public auction, if the purchase price at the new
auction is lower than the highest bid at the previous auction, will the
buyer be liable to the difference between the two prices?

Answer

If the purchase price at the new auction is lower than the price sold at
the previous auction, the original buyer who failed to pay the purchase price
within the prescribed time period must be liable to the difference between
the two prices. The enforcement officer will notify the original buyer to pay
the difference in the property prices and related expenses.
